Agricultural Practices

At Bashista Orchards, we practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM), which combines multiple methods of pest control to produce quality fruit in an environmentally responsible way. Pests are managed through a combination of monitoring, natural enemies, cultural practices, and chemical control used only when necessary. Because of this approach, some fruit may not look as picture-perfect as fruit grown with heavier pesticide use. We hope you’ll think of the occasional blemish as a badge of our environmental commitment.
